Welcome to the Cinema City Hotel, an extraordinary cinema hotel in the heart of Karlsruhe. Behind this unique place is the Fellmoser-Ludwigs family, who, with passion and vision, created a concept that combines the magic of cinema with modern hospitality.
Our journey began in 2014 with the takeover of the “Hotel am Markt” at Karlsruhe’s marketplace – a charming house with a café that quickly became a popular meeting place. In 2020, we expanded our offering with the “Hotel Berliner Hof” near Europaplatz, which laid the foundation for our vision of a cinema hotel. After intensive planning, the Cinema City Hotel opened its doors in January 2025. Here, urbanity, nostalgia, and comfort merge into an incomparable experience.

FROM SCRIPT TO BLOCKBUSTER
The Fellmoser-Ludwigs family took over the charming “Hotel am Markt” at Karlsruhe’s marketplace. With its 38 rooms and a cozy bakery café on the ground floor, it quickly became a popular meeting place for guests and locals.
With the takeover of the “Hotel Berliner Hof” at Europaplatz, the family expanded its portfolio by 55 rooms. At the same time, the idea arose to create a unique cinema hotel that combines modern luxury with the magic of cinema.
The detailed planning of the Cinema City Hotel began. Love for hospitality and entrepreneurial courage led the family step by step closer to their goal.
The Cinema City Hotel opened its doors and has since offered an unparalleled experience. With 25 film-inspired rooms, state-of-the-art technology, and a touch of Hollywood, it is unique in Karlsruhe and delights guests from all over the world.

We accept cashless payments with Mastercard, Visa, EC card, Maestro, and American Express. Cash payments are not possible

Several parking garages are located near the hotel. Just a few meters from the hotel, you’ll find the Postgalerie parking garage (open 24/7) and the Akademiestraße parking garage (not open around the clock).
Payment is made directly in the parking garage.
6. Is there a way to store bicycles safely?
Yes, bicycles can be stored free of charge at our partner hotel, Hotel Berliner Hof, Douglasstraße 7, 76133 Karlsruhe. Please register this in advance.
